The Bhagalpuri Andi Chadar Double Thread is a traditional, handwoven body cover known for its unique blend of cotton and silk (staple yarn) and durable construction using a two-ply weaving technique. It is prized for its year-round comfort and soft, silky touch that improves with every wash.

  • Material: It is crafted from a premium quality of organic cotton staple yarn,  (also known as “Andi” or “Dull” fabric). This gives it a soft, skin-friendly texture.
  • Double Thread (2-Ply) Weaving: The “double thread” designation means the yarn used is 2-ply, where two threads are twisted together. This traditional handloom technique provides superior strength, durability, and longevity to the fabric.
  • Size: The typical size for a single chadar is around 53 x 96 inches (approximately 250 x 130 cm), which is long enough to cover the entire body.
  • All-Season Comfort: A key feature is its versatility, as it helps regulate body temperature, providing warmth in light winters/AC rooms and coolness in summer and rainy seasons, making it an ideal year-round body cover.
